Kitchen and bedding needs to be upgraded. Carpet had stains
The room was large! Thank you for the upgrade ES! Front desk was friendly, courteous, and fast!
The kitchen is not user ready upon arrival,,,you must ask for things at the front desk.
no breakfast , v smelly room whole hotel felt dirty , and had a nasty smell , smoking floor especially , we had a non smoking room but still smelt like stale cigarettes , and the bed linnen seemed like it was dirty still . whole experince was nasty . never again .
Bed I order king I get regular
Staff removed the a/c unit to clean during the stay, instead of waiting until afterwards. Staff stated she wasn't cleaning the room until checkout, since we asked she would clean the room at no extra charge. The system is setup for check in at 3: 00, and if you don't your reservation was canceled. While assisting me with four reservations, he begins speaking with a co-worker to check in another guest. Instead of updating the details of the room, staff made a new reservation which reflected 11 reservations for me instead of 4. Staff did not enter the credit card that was handed to them, and charged the card during the initial reservation. The elevator stopped working, and my elderly Parents had to walk up to the 3rd floor.
The system is setup for a 3 : 00 p.m check in, so if you don't your reservation was canceled. The staff didn't update any of the four rooms I reserved, they made a new reservation. Their system reflected I reserved 11 rooms. Maintenance removed the a/c unit to clean it, instead of waiting until after check out. Housekeeping said they would not clean the room everyday, or provide new towels. I informed her my grandmother has asthma, and needed it cleaned & towels. She said "I will clean it for you without charging extra". The elevator went out, and my elderly Parents had to walk up to their room on the third floor. Staff had to reserve three rooms again, and had the checkout a day earlier. My Aunt gave staff her card to be charged, and he gave it back to her and said "I have already charged it". In reality staff charged my card (that was on file from the reservation) instead. During check in another staff member was having issues checking in a customer. The staff stopped recreating my reservation of three rooms for a week stay, to go help their co-worker. I was livid with this property.
I liked the snacks for breakfast.
The footpath to the metro did not have lamp posts lighting the road at night. I was frightened at times.
Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Hung in air. Ashes on bedspread. Bathroom dirty with hair in sink and tub. Disgusting.
Having a little kitchen and supplies to cook.
Walking distance from subway station One of the more affordable hotels around Washington, DC
Cooking facilities very limited (surprising for a hotel focused on extended stays). Plates, pans, etc. have to ordered from the front desk and when we got them they were not that clean and for one person only. Some staff were ok others were not very helpful. Despite clearly requesting a non-smoking room we were given a smelly smoking room Area around hotel is dark and lonely.
Very friendly and helpful staff and the room was huge! I really like the grab and go breakfast, quick and simple and not messy. It was also very close to the metro which has a direct line all the way into the National Mall, so location was excellent. There was also a police station near by and I definitely felt very safe.
My room was right across the hall from the house keeping room and there was really bad smelling trash in there that stink up the hallway. I asked hotel staff about it and they said trash day isn't till the next day. Although they were friendly staff, I think there had to be a better solution to the problem than to tell your customers just deal with it in a very nice way... Also, the shower curtain was so long that it sits in the shower water while I showered. Can you imagine how much dirt from how many showers it has been sitting in? It didn't work as a shower curtain should either. My whole floor was wet after the shower... If I didn't get the room for a good deal, I probably would have left.
I feel like con outweighed the pro so I really have nothing to say
I arrived separately from my boyfriend. I did not tell the hotel he would be coming because I assumed I would make it back in time to meet him in the lobby. When I returned to the hotel my boyfriend was not there I assumed I made it ahead of him unknown to me the man at front desk had given him a key to my room. This is a big security issue to me that someone who knows my first and last name can get a key to my room then to add insult to injury I called relations they told me I would get a full refund I appreciated that but then the hotel personnel called and said they could only give me 5 dollars I will be seeking more into the matter and will most definitely not be staying here again
Nice, big room.
Too nosy fridge
Wifi worked, not fast by any means though, better luck hoping for dial-up. Staff was very friendly.
Nightly smell of marijuana throughout the hallway (at least on 5th floor) rampant prostitutes coming and going, evident by the club dresses roaming in at 11am with their escort waiting in the car, then returning an hour later with a different john. same escort waiting.
The location was very good and staff was friendly.
Needed more staff available to help customers. Breakfast was a a coffee cart at front door with apples, muffins and granola bars. More like a snack than breakfast! Units need updating and pillows were terrible.
